Sovereign Fire and Security release new room observation system…

800 450 Jack Wynn

The industry solutions provider, Sovereign Fire and Security (SFS), has announced the release of its room observation system (ROS) to promote the welfare of vulnerable people in environments such as mental health units, immigration centres, secure hospitals, and detention facilities.

The company claims the product will oversee duty of care and, at the same time, protect staff from contrived accusations of mistreatment or neglecting inmates. In addition, the ROS consists of a high-security camera mounted inside the secure room paired with an Audio Visual Unit (AVU) installed outside the monitored area. Therefore, viewing and operation of the AVU is only permitted for authorised users.

Furthermore, SFS states that the ROS system is a cost-effective solution designed to minimise energy usage with an auto shutdown inclusion when not in use; saving power costs as well as extending the product lifecycle.
