BIO
Andrew is a security professional in the major events and entertainment sectors with a proven track record in delivery and oversight. He served in the Metropolitan Police for 30 years; primarily working on major events and as a Personal Protection Officer to the Royal Family. He led the VIP Protection planning for numerous State events, including HM The Queen Mother’s Funeral, HM The Queen’s Golden Jubilee and the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games. Uniquely, he was seconded to the London 2012 Olympic & Paralympic bid team and subsequently, the Organising Committee as the Head of Security where he developed an indepth knowledge of security requirements at major international events, including initial strategic planning, risk assessment, security procurement and Games wide security integration.
Andrew was a co-founder of R3S Global in 2014 and continues to deliver strategic security advice to high-profile clients and events including all recent iterations of the Olympic & Paralympic Games and the 2022 Birmingham Commonwealth Games. He is currently working with clients across the UK at both the strategic and tactical level, developing comprehensive security solutions that are wholly integrated, cost effective and complementary to the wider strands of venue management. In 2023 Andrew was appointed as the Senior Security Advisor to the International Olympic Committee and in 2024 he became a member of the Wembley Stadium Independent Advisory Board with responsibility for safety, security and service.

Chris’s efforts have been recognised with accolades, reflecting his commitment to excellence in security consultancy. Leadership and innovative strategies seta benchmark in the industry, particularly in counterterrorism and protective security. In addition to his consultancy work, Chris contributes to academic research, publishing articles that explore the dynamic relationship between security measures and public safety.
