New research has predicted that the global access control systems market will be worth an estimated $21 billion by 2022.

Research Cosmos, the company behind the report, found that physical security and information security were the major systems used, with demand for access control systems in the commercial building sector growing rapidly.

The APAC market is expected to lead the CAGR predicted between 2017 and 2023, with key companies in this sector cited as being Assa ABLOY AB, Dorma + Kaby Holding AG, Honeywell Security Group and Nedap N.V

The repot says Safety from Theft, Fire, Vandalism and other risks has created huge demand for the systems, with investment by property managers, investors and stake holders also increasing resulting in considerable upside for the sector.
