Fire Doors Done Right: Third-party certified installation you can evidence

A fire door is one of the most critical elements of a building’s compartmentation and one of the most frequently compromised. It only performs as designed when the complete doorset works together as a tested system.

The Whole Doorset

Prospect Fire supplies and installs certified fire doorsets across all common ratings FD30 up to FD120  for flat-entrance, communal, commercial and specialist applications. A door’s rating belongs to the whole set: leaf, frame, intumescent and smoke seals, hinges, closers, glazing and ironmongery, all fitted to manufacturers installation instructions with the correct gaps and tolerances. Get a single component wrong and the rating is lost. From one replacement to a portfolio-wide programme, the team installs to the same specification and standard throughout.

Why Third-Party Certification Matters

Anyone can hang a door; not everyone can prove it will perform. Prospect Fire’s work is carried out under independent, third-party certification, the operatives are assessed as competent, the installations are audited, and every doorset is backed by a completion certificate and itemised digital records. Under BRE LPCB 1271, that defensible chain of evidence is no longer a nice-to-have: it is how the responsible person demonstrates compliance.
