Introducing the TR-TRACE Explosive Vapour and Trace Detector from Todd Research

With today’s heightened threat of terrorism, security professionals at nuclear power plants, embassies, high-risk facilities, transportation companies, and government agencies are exploring explosives trace detection equipment, as part of a robust security strategy to help protect the public and vital infrastructure from threats.

The TR-TRACE  is ideal to be used in public transit areas, large retail sites, stadiums and high risk infrastructure sites as well as for vehicle screening and can also can be used to detect narcotics.

This trace detector is easy to operate, portable, light weight and comes in a lightweight bag with protective case. The detector can work for up to 4 hours continuously in standalone.

The cost of TR-TRACE’s ownership is very low, as special consumables are not required. Regular aluminium foil swabs can be used for surface wiping in (particle mode).
This mobile trace detector does not contain any radiation sources and the internal memory allows saving of more than 100K results of analysis.

The TR-TRACE has a short warm up time of less than 1 minute, with high sensitivity the TR-TRACE can detect and identify a wide variety of explosives including pure explosive and composite explosives under different humidity and pressure conditions in vapour or trace (particles mode). The detector is capable of analysing and giving results within 2-8 seconds and when a detection is positive, an audio and visual alarm will sound.

A list of explosives the TR-TRACE can detect include –

TNT, RDX, C4, Semtex, PETN, ANFO, EGDN, Nitro-glycerine (NG), Dynamite, DNT, Black Powder, Ammonia and Urea nitrates, HMTD, Tetryl and mixtures thereof.
