The leading industry provider of IP-based megapixel camera technology, Arecont Vision® has launched its new ‘SurroundVideo®’ Omni Mini dual sensor megapixel camera, which claims to feature twin megapixel camera sensors that are individually ‘mounted’ in the Arecont Vision-designed 3-axis gimbals for increased adjustability.
The SurroundVideo® Omni Mini also features remote focus for fast installation, and is suitable as both a day and night camera for applications with variable lighting conditions. Its
NightView™ technology in the 2MP model ensures coverage in areas where little light is present. The camera technology provider also states that applications with bright or over-saturated lighting conditions can be addressed with models that include Wide Dynamic Range (WDR).
Vice president of Product Development at Arecont Vision®, Brad Donaldson, commented: “The SurroundVideo Omni Mini will be popular with customers who have had to rely upon multiple single sensor or costly PTZ (pan/tilt/zoom) cameras to cover a wide range of applications. This small, compact camera will provide outstanding video and situational awareness at a very affordable price point.”
